Frequently asked questions…
Did you know...
Our teeth whitening treatment is plant-based, paraben-free, gluten-free, and cruelty-free. The active ingredient in our gel is a food-grade hydrogen peroxide (HP) enhanced with Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE), a powerful antibacterial agent known for its effectiveness in deterring periodontal disease and gingivitis. GSE also helps reduce sensitivity during and after whitening. Our exclusive mineral enamel treatment is enriched with plant-derived ingredients and minimizes sensitivity while strengthening enamel. It also helps maintain oral health by restoring the pH balance in your mouth, preventing periodontal disease and gingivitis. At Live Brightly, we are committed to offering a safe, effective, and affordable cosmetic teeth whitening experience that doesn't break the bank.
Is Professional Teeth Whitening Safe?
Absolutely! Our whitening treatments at Live Brightly use a specially formulated gel, crafted by our private dental lab, which combines plant and mineral-based ingredients with enamel-building properties. Scientific research supports the safety and effectiveness of our whitening gel. Our process lifts years of stains without altering or damaging the structure of your teeth, leaving you with a brighter, whiter smile. Additionally, our technicians take your experience very seriously. Our priority is your safety, expertise, and results.
What If I Have Sensitive Teeth?
At Live Brightly, our top priority is delivering brilliant results with zero sensitivity. Thanks to our all-natural, plant-based gel, most clients experience no discomfort during or after treatment. While a small percentage of individuals might feel slight sensitivity—particularly if dehydrated, prone to sensitivity, or consuming very hot or cold foods and drinks shortly after treatment—any sensitivity typically subsides within 24-48 hours. For those concerned, we include at no extra cost, a specialized Sensitivity Treatment, which includes an in-session remineralization and a tailored hygiene kit.
How Long Does It Take?
Each treatment includes multiple whitening sessions to achieve optimal results by removing layers of staining. You'll see noticeable improvements in just 60-80 minutes. For first-time clients, plan for a 90-minute appointment, which allows time for informed consent, before-and-after photos, and a discussion on aftercare.
When Will I See Results?
You’ll see a brighter smile in as little as 60 minutes! We guarantee at least 5 shades whiter after your first treatment, or it’s free.
How Many Shades Whiter Will My Teeth Get?
On average, clients see an improvement of 5-14 shades in their first session. Results can vary based on factors like your current tooth shade, treatment duration, and tooth composition, but you can expect a noticeably whiter smile. Everyone has their own stopping point when it comes to whitening.
How Long Will My Teeth Stay White?
The longevity of your results depends on factors like diet and lifestyle. However, with proper maintenance and periodic touch-ups every 2-4 months, you can enjoy a bright smile for years to come.
When Should I Get a Touch-Up?
We recommend touch-ups every 2-4 months, depending on your diet, lifestyle, and oral hygiene habits. Regular touch-ups are particularly important if you’re a coffee drinker, smoker, or have significant staining. Keeping the staining at bay is crucial in your teeth whitening experience.
Do I Still Need Regular Dental Cleanings?
Yes, cosmetic teeth whitening is not a substitute for regular dental care. We strongly encourage you to continue seeing your dentist for routine cleanings at least every 6 months to maintain overall oral health, which in turn supports better whitening results.
What Should I Avoid After Whitening?
Our remineralization and sealant will allow you to eat and drink how you please after your whitening session. Limiting the following foods/drinks for the first 24-48 hours, would be beneficial. Anything that could stain a white fabric could also stain your teeth:
- Tea
- Coffee
- Wine
- Tomato-based sauces
- Dark sauces and dressings (e.g., ketchup, soy sauce, BBQ sauce, balsamic vinaigrette)
- Dark meats
- Dark colas and sodas
- Berries
- Chocolate
- Fruit juices
- Smoking
Does It Work on Existing Dental Work?
Yes, our whitening treatment can remove stains from existing dental work and restore it to its original color. While we can't whiten dental work beyond its original shade, our goal is to clean it up and match your natural teeth for a uniform, bright smile.
Is This Treatment for Everyone?
Our teeth whitening treatment is ideal for anyone looking to brighten their smile, including those with stains from smoking, coffee, tea, soda, wine, and other substances. It’s also effective for hereditary discoloration and stains from tetracycline or fluoride. However, if you are in pain, haven’t seen a dentist in over a year, or have pending dental work, we recommend consulting your dentist before proceeding. Recommended for ages 10+
Is It Safe for Pregnant or Nursing Women?
While our products are non-toxic and safe, we advise pregnant and nursing women to wait until at least 6 weeks postpartum and to get clearance from their physician before undergoing teeth whitening.
